		AWRT- American Women in Radio and Television is the national, non-profit organization that extends membership to qualified professionals in the electronic media and allied fields. LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Let me begin first by congratulating and thanking our 2006-2008 AWRT President, Christi Swanner for her dedication and gracious contributions to the success of our organization. Her leadership has been inspirational for the chapter. I am excited to take the reigns as president and am looking forward to the future with anticipation for continued success.
I also want to thank the new members of the board that have stepped up to give their time. They are: Leigh Lowery, Karrie Queal, Andrews Delafosse, Scott Saldinger, Dean Mueller, Shawn McCalister, Luke Dunn and Denise Butler. Without the help of the entire board all of this would not be possible.

Mark your calendars and get ready to watch the new fall line up at the AWRT Premiere Party this Thursday, August 21^st at the new Studio Movie Grill in at Royal and Central, where you can be the judge of what’s hot and what's not. We will have appetizers and drinks to make for a fun evening.
Also, the Battle Happy is scheduled on Thursday, September 4th. Details will follow later this week. Battle is scheduled for October 9th.

We look forward to seeing everyone this Thursday for the Fall Premiere Preview!
